Okay, so.. it’s been a while since my last post, so lets get into the stream of things and get started.
So, my work on 112 (On The Other Side) is sor of nearing it’s end. We have decided to re-work some of the story with the Coalition and Earth etc. So it means after I have finished the first draft, I will get to work on making the much needed edits, for the whole story to make sense.
I have recently made some changes to the number of episodes in “SGV: Separated”. The number of episodes has gone from seven to five. As afterall it is a miniseries. So here is the latest line-up:
Separated
Colonia: Past & Future
Cave Dwellers
A Birth, a Marriage, a Death
Oscar
One last thing.. I am now writing Vennix Season 1 ep “Out of Time”. I’m not gonna’ give to much away. All i am going to say for the moment is that the Ancients (or a band of them) are heavily involved in this episode.
A small post this time, just to inform you, that the second part of the pilot is being slightly re-written. The long awaited second part should be available in a few weeks.
Now, my work on ‘On the Other Side’ is coming to an end, and i must say i am very pleased with it so far. Which is Milky-Way based episode in which we find out how the various teams are searching for the Achilles. And more importantly, Will they make contact? – All i can say is be patient. .
Now, once my work on 112, has indeed finished i shall draw my attention to and start the planning of 115, (Through the Looking Glass) which is an Alternate Universe episode. Where we see that the IS Achilles has been plagued with bad luck. It’s full of action and suspense and i can’t wait to start writing it.
So, a few days a go, i wrote a post apologising for the delay in the release of episodes. This is due to the slow production period we are in at the moment. Almost everymember of the production crew are really busy with other things, exams etc… So we are devising a new release date structure and part two of the pilot should be released soon! Keep your eyes on this blog, and that of the episodes section of the wikia! (vennixproductions.wikia.com).
There is a slight change in the cast of Stargate Vennix, which changed a while a go but i forgot to mention it in the blog… Anyway, Benjamin McKenzie will now play the role of Joseph Lincoln.
If you haven’t noticed it, you must be blind, Because we have a new look blog, which i think looks a little better than the old black & white and dull grey theme. It’s cool we’ve got greens, blacks, whites…
And now for the SGV: Separated news. Yes, i have increased the number of episodes to seven…. So we have:
We, at Vennix Productions owe everyone an appology regarding the release dates for episode two of Stargate: Vennix! The second part of the pilot should have been released on the 1st June, but he have been delayed very badly over the past few weeks, BUT you can expect the second part of the pilot to appear in the downloads section VERY SOON!
So, by now you have probably read the first part of the pilot for Stargate: Vennix. We did warn you that the second part might not be available for a few weeks, but if you have been patient your reward shall come soon. I now have the release dates for the first ten episodes of season one.
So, here we are…
(1.02) Beginnings, Part Two - 1st June
(1.03) Alpha Site - 8th June
(1.04) Lost – 15th June
(1.05) Homesick – 22nd June
(1.06) Ground Zero – 19th June
(1.07) Independant Nature – 6th July
(1.08) The Escape – 13th July
(1.09) Revival - 20th July
(1.10) My Enemy’s Enemy, Part One – 27th July
So, now we have the release dates out of the way, i can make an excuse up for my slow progress on 112 (On the Other Side). No, i have a good excuse, the lack of time in my hands to complete it. I am so busy in the next few weeks it is unbelievable. I have to revise for all my upcoming exams, i think i have erm.. 12 left. It may be 11 or something… Anyway, moving on…
Now, the SGV: Separated news… I have been with complete power over what happens with this mini-series, which by the way is going to be magnificent! So, the news.. yes.. I have decided to do a complete overhall of my plans, as what i had allready i didn’t like. So the basic story line has changed, the episode names and plots have changed.
I am really looking forward to the release of Separated, as it allows us to experiment with different themes and styles within . Speaking of storylines, Separated will be a long story arc over the entire series (six episodes). There will be smaller arc within aswell.
So, i have been spinning episode ideas in my head for a while now and i have come up with a complete list for SGV: SEPARATED. (If you havn’t seen the page recently). I think i have some good titles i can work with, as i have some good ideas floating around in “there”. I have a great idea for the pilot which i am not going to say much about because it spins-off from SG:V episode 2.10/11 (The Man In The Suit). I can though tell you a little of what it is about, and hopefully gain your interest. Okay…. Here goes..
SGV: SEPARATED is about a group of the expedition whom, after an all out assault from the Ashellian become separated from the others, and are left to fend for them selves onboard an Ashellian ship. Which is falling to pieces. The thing we need to focus on is: Is anyone to blame, and will they survive?
The Characters:
* Kirk Acevedo as Capt. Harry Ranger
* Diane Neal as Dr. Fiona Blake
* Marc Menard as Dr. Jake Meldon
* Jasika Nicole as Lt. Melissa Autumn
* Brett Cullen as Sgt. Danny Granger
Now, my busy weekend, it should actually be my Very very very very very busy weekend but oh-well! So, yep i have to spend all weekend finishing a certain project, finish some science project work, and revise for some exams, unfortunately creating less time for production on the current episode i’m writing; On The Other Side (112). Which happens to be my first episode for Stargate: Vennix!
So finally, we are at Friday, or so called, ”the end of the week”. Which is brilliant, it means no work, what so ever! Just lots of relaxing and relaxing! Sadly, thats most people but me and Dan Barraclough, as we are the only two left writing, and making SG:V what it is. Well, that may be a small lie, as there may be some new crew members coming our way soon.
Anyway… ’nuff of that… Stargate: Vennix is running well considering… Considering all the time it has taken to get it up and running but i think its been well worth it as the first part of the pilot is out and the next part is coming very, very, very, soon! Which i can’t wait for, as even i havn’t seen even a sneak peak of the next part! I suppose i am busy with my own commitments such as coursework and writing ‘On the Other Side’ and dare i say it…. Revision! The blasted thing…
So, Stargate: Vennix is going strong, but to get all the episodes out on time, we need more crew members, we need anyone, preferably someone experienced. Writers, Story Editors etc, etc,etc. We need several episodes in the first half of season one writing. – If you want the opportunity to join the Vennix crew, email Dan Barraclough;
bazzaboff@hotmail.com
So, the “plead” out of the way, i plan to hand in the first draft of On The Other Side (My first SG:V ep) in the next few weeks, so i can make the neccesary changes, finish it and then get on with Tricks of War.
So, episode one of StargateVennix has been released. It was written by the very talented creator of the series, Dan Barraclough. I thought the pilot was excellent. Most of you will probably be thinking “well you would say that because you work with him” Well, in answer to that, i actually thought it was brilliant, good way to kick of the series, which will hopefully run for far more series’ to come!
As the seasons go by, we open up the possibilities of new spin-offs or Miniseries’. As as most of you have probably noticed the “SGV: Separated” page, it is a work in progress, which will spawn from episode 2.10 (The Man In The Suit) of StargateVennix. In which i am joyfully excited to writing. In fact I’m writing the episodes both after and before 2.10. The one before it,”What Happened In The Past, Stays In The Past” Is one I also looking forward to writing, as it delves into the past of the main characters, what they did when growing up, what their school life or university life was like, it’s gonna’ be brilliant!
Now, i am so looking forward to part two of the SG:V pilot. I read the first part, and immediately thought “WOW!” Unfortunately we could be waiting up to two weeks for the next part, as we are very low on writers. My first episode is 1.12 (On The Other Side), so we’ll have to wait a while for mine. I am actually still writing it now and I’m in the middle of ACT THREE.
Well at long last we have released the pilot episode, and I must say it was exciting to write. Full of twists and turns, mystery and intrigue. But above all I hope it captured the atmosphere of stargate. It can be downloaded at the link below, and please post on the gateworld forum in our thread to tell us what you thought.
A battleship, the CS Achilles, is sent from Earth to Atlantis. Following a hyperdrive malfunction they are caught in a suprnova and catapulted 7 million light years into the Vennix galaxy. Stranded in unexplored space the crew are forced to fend for themselves, but even with an Ancient base can they survive against a dangerous new enemy?
